Basic life support (BLS) following by Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) is intended to rescue the patients with acute circulatory or respiratory failure or both. The most important determinant of short and long-term neurologically intact survival is the interval from the onset of the cardiac or respiratory onset to restoration of effective spontaneous functions of these vital activities.It is commonly accepted that every physician, regardless of specialty, should be able to  perform CPR. It must be also emphasized that CPR, almost invariably, necessitates a rapid interventional follow-care with ACLS procedure.Without well-performed basic life support, advanced cardiac life support is of no remark-: able benefit, BLS and ACLS are processes that must be performed step by step and with respect to the patient's condition.

Introduction: Homesickness and social support are problems for new college student. In this regard, the present study was planned to assess the relationship between social support and homesickness Sistan and Baluchestan university new college students.Method: This is a descriptive - correlation study and its population were Sistan and Baluchestan university new college students in academic year 2012-2013. 333 students from them were selected by random sampling method in November. The study instruments included multidimensional scale of perceived social support (Zimet et al.1988) and Utrecht homesickness scale (Ejei et al.2008). The scores were analyzed using the Spearman correlation coefficient and multiple regression by Software SPSS17.Results: A) Between the mean scores of boys and girls in the two components of social support and felt the difference was not significant (p>0.05). B) There were significant positive correlations between social support and homesickness (R: 0.198, P<0.05). C) Multiple regression results showed that from three subscales of social support, family subscale can explain and predict homesickness of this group of students (F=5.407, T=2.297, P<0.05).Conclusion: the need to more social support is associated with more homesickness.
